Smart 50 Awards

Honoring the 50 most transformative smart projects each year.

Smart 50 Awards, in partnership with Smart Cities Connect, Smart Cities Connect Foundation, US Ignite, annually recognize global smart cities projects, honoring the most innovative and influential work in five categories: governance, mobility, energy, citizen life, and networks..

Who should apply? Innovative projects with current or future municipal-level impact and application. Projects must clarify their connection with a municipal partner, or municipal-similar partner such as a county, region, campus, installation, base, or facility complex.


Submissions Due - December 8, 2017
Finalists Notified - December 20, 2017
Smart 50 Awards Gala - Kansas City, March 26, 2018


Entry Fee: $300.
Entry fee proceeds will be applied for city leader travel to SCC events, and managed by the Smart Cities Connect Foundation, a 501c6 non-profit supporting city leaders through education and best practice programs. Awardees receive: one (1) full-registration waiver, two (2) gala awards tickets.

Applications are reviewed by members of our global city leader community. Awardees are encouraged to attend the Smart 50 Awards Gala in March 2018 with at least two attendees of the project team.
