This Workshop will be an in-person meeting of the Connected Triangle+ Partners.

Objectives:

  • to share work done since the November Summit, including:
    • Focused efforts on data sharing and governance
    • Our regional vision
  • to further define 2-4 data and metrics that we may use to better monitor and track sustainability and climate change plans in each of our communities and across the region.

The Workshop is open and free to sponsors and vendors exhibiting at the Smart Cities Connect Conference.

The Workshop will include:

  • 2-4 "roundtable" dialogues—where we will discuss data, data gathering tools, and data sharing mechanisms to improve sustainability and climate change modeling in our communities and the Triangle Region.

    • Community Partners—Sustainability and Climate Changes Goals & Metrics. Brief description on the desired metrics to help track and target local and regional goals.
  • Two Samples of Regional Data Gathering and Modeling
    • MITRE Micro-Climate Model
    • Flood Early Warning System (FEWS)

Desserts and Coffee - move into Roundtable Areas

3:30-4:30

We will break into 4 areas ("roundtables") and hold moderated discussions focused on specific use cases and the data metrics, gathering, and sharing that will best track those use cases. The focus is to identify 2-4 priority projects for data sharing to advance our local and regional sustainability and climate changes goals.

Information and input gathered will be reviewed and considered by the Connected Triangle+ Partners for next stages, funding, and the possible development of pilot projects across our region.
