Marshall Freeman

Marshall Freeman is the Chief Operating Officer for the Atlanta Police Foundation, the nationally
renowned non-profit law enforcement advocacy, strategic planning and research organization that
supports public safety in Atlanta.

He leads a team that manages programs and initiatives designed to prevent and decrease crime,
enhance public safety infrastructure, increase police visibility, provide mid-career training to
Atlanta Police Department officers, and test and acquire state-of-the-art technology for the south’s
largest urban police force.

Prior to joining the Atlanta Police Foundation, he had a successful entertainment career including
his work as a choreographer, performance coach, creative director and talent manager for
musicians. His work includes working with the like of Aretha Franklin, Joan Rivers, the Beach Boys
and American Idol winner Candice Glover. He has also produced events and concerts for the NFL,
NBA, BET, and the National Urban League.

A native of Detroit, Marshall is a graduate of Johnson & Wales University, where he earned a
Bachelor of Science Degree in Sports/Entertainment and Event Management. Marshall is a
member of the International Association of Chiefs of Police. He is also involved in several civic
roles: Crime Stoppers USA, Regional Director; Inspire Brands Foundation, Trustee; and Midtown
Atlanta Rotary Club, Member.
