Kirk Niemeyer

Kirk has been City Engineer for Lima since 2002. He received his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering
from Lehigh University in Bethlehem, PA. Kirk is a licensed PE with more than twenty five years of
experience in public works infrastructure projects. Prior to working for the City, Kirk worked for DLZ in
Columbus, OH where he was involved in water and wastewater treatment plant design and deep tunnel
construction. Kirk is an actively engaged member of the Allen County Bike and Pedestrian Task Force,
Chairman of the Traffic Commission, and Chairman of RPC’s Transportation Advisory Committee.
Kirk lives in Lima with his wife, Tami, and two kids, Nate and Annika who attend St. Charles School and
LCC. He enjoys anything that involves the great outdoors and in his spare time he farms with his dad.
