Tim Treadwell is the Customer Technology Development Manager at Portland General Electric (PGE). In this role, Tim manages a portfolio of demonstration projects focused on expanding the use of DERs and a utility operational resource. Projects cover a broad array of technologies and use cases, and are funded through the Smart Grid Testbed Program, PGE’s DOE-funded Connected Communities grant, and internal utility R&D. Prior to joining to PGE, Tim served in a number of roles including Director of Engineering, Research and Analysis at the Center for Sustainable Energy and Director of Energy Technologies at Ecova/ENGIE Insights. Tim’s work has spanned more than 15 years in the design, launch, and implementation of market transformation programs, focused on energy efficiency, load management, distributed generation, electric vehicles, and energy storage. Tim holds a B.S. in Natural Resources from Humboldt State University and a M.S. in Environmental Policy from Bard College.
