An experienced IT and GIS professional, Susan has worked across multiple technology disciplines in a local government capacity focusing on GIS for 30 years. With GIS data visualization as her core focus, she has partnered with Public Safety personnel at the City of Frisco to build a reliance on geospatial technology platforms in the Fire and Police service. In 2008, Susan helped lead the development of an innovative GIS platform called SAFER, Situational Awareness For EmergencyResponse, providing first responders critical incident information through a common operating picture. Since the implementation of SAFER, the collaborative partnership between IT/GIS and the Fire, Police, and Traffic Engineering departments along with Frisco Independent School District has flourished, allowing for an avenue of communication for continued data integration and innovation.
