Chris Bilby is a Research Engineer with Holy Cross Energy (HCE), a not-for-profit, member-owned electric
cooperative utility providing electricity, energy products and services to more than 43,000 members in
Western Colorado. He is the author of HCE’s electrification of transportation strategy, the energy
architect behind the Basalt Vista Affordable Housing Partnership and is the technical lead for HCE’s
programs and microgrid developments. Bilby also supports the engineering department by studying and
planning for the increasing number of distributed energy resources and their effects on system loading
and load profiles.
