He has experience and worked in diverse fields of transportation, like traffic safety, alternative modes of transportation, Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) and connected and automated vehicles, transportation system planning, Geographic Information Systems (GIS) applications, data analytics and visualization, traffic operations, Internet applications, artificial intelligence (AI) techniques, and operations research applications. He served on journal editorial boards and several technical, scientific, and conference steering committees.
