Brad Riedl is a Cybersecurity Specialist in the Cyber Resilient 911 (CR911) Branch within the Emergency Communications Division (ECD) at CISA. He plays a key role in enhancing the cybersecurity posture of public safety answering points (PSAPs) and emergency communications systems across the country. Brad serves as the Functional Manager for PSAP and cybersecurity-related Technical Assistance (TA), the Project Manager for the 911 Cyber Defense Lab Proof of Concept, and leads the Protective Domain Name System (PDNS) Proof of Concept—all initiatives aimed at strengthening the security and resilience of Next Generation 911 (NG911) environments. Brad has over eight years of experience in cybersecurity and holds a bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity. His professional certifications include CISSP, Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), and Security+ (SEC+). Before joining CISA, he worked in various cybersecurity roles supporting national security and federal operations, specializing in cyber threat analysis, network defense, and vulnerability assessments. His career began with nine and a half years of service in the U.S. Navy, where he developed a strong foundation in defensive cyber operations and national security.
