With over three decades of experience in Information Technology, Heather has dedicated the last two decades of her career to public service in the City of Austin. As Deputy CIO of Enterprise Applications, Geospatial Information Systems, Digital Services, Data & Analytics, Business Relationship Management, and Project Portfolio Management, Heather oversees digital transformation initiatives for and across 40 departments. Prior to 2023, her focus was on enterprise applications programs and technology projects at Austin Energy, the City’s electric utility. Heather’s private sector IT leadership experience encompassed the medical, legal, and software development industries. Throughout her career, Heather has championed a solutions-oriented collaborative culture centered around enhancing customer and employee experiences.
