Jim Beach has been the Chief of Staff for Mayor W. Reed Gusciora, mayor of Trenton, New Jersey, since July 2023. Prior to assuming the Chief of Staff role, Jim was the Chief of Administrative Services, where he developed and oversaw the City’s American Rescue Plan Covid Relief program. As Chief of Staff, he is entrusted with implementing and overseeing City-wide initiatives and programs, developing new ideas, opportunities and strategies for growth within the City, and directing, managing and overseeing all policy development.
Jim received a B.A. from Gettysburg College in Economics and was awarded a J.D. from the Seton Hall University of Law. Following graduation from law school, he worked as an attorney with a labor and employment firm in northern New Jersey and then for Proskauer Rose in New York City. Following that, Jim spent 2 decades working in international banking, holding various regional and global positions in the legal and human resources fields.
