Jen Morgan is the Community Development Director at RIoT, where she advances innovation and strengthens the regional tech ecosystem through strategic partnerships and community engagement. She cultivates relationships among startups, corporations, government agencies, and community stakeholders to accelerate collaboration and support the growth of the innovation economy. Jen leads the planning and execution of more than 75 annual events, workshops, webinars, and conferences, engaging hundreds of stakeholders across RIoT’s network. Known for her analytical mindset, she leverages data to organize, coordinate, and evaluate programs that drive measurable impact. She played a key role in RIoT’s expansion into Virginia, spearheading smart city initiatives at the Virginia Smart Community Testbed and supporting national and international partnerships.

Previously, Jen coordinated GO Virginia Region 6, advancing cross-sector initiatives designed to create high-paying jobs and strengthen regional economic competitiveness across the Commonwealth. She holds a Master of Public Administration from James Madison University, with a concentration in community and economic development. Outside of work, Jen enjoys hiking with her German Shepherd, spending time on the water, and exploring new tacos and breweries.
