
Cody R. Taylor, Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor of Public Administration at Appalachian State University. Originally from Lincoln County, North Carolina, he is interested in how communities build institutional capacity, use data for decision-making, and how collaborative networks can address complex community challenges.
Dr. Taylor holds a Ph.D. in Public Administration from North Carolina State University, an MPA, and a B.S. in Political Science with a concentration in Public Administration. He has contributed to multiple applied research and data initiatives supporting state and local governments.
In addition to his academic work, Dr. Taylor served as an Economic Development Analyst at NCGrowth and is an officer in the United States Navy Reserve.
