Denise Linn Riedl is the Head of Public Sector Technology at Partners for Public Good (PPG). Denise leads PPG’s new Public Sector Technology Portfolio, a new suite of technology-related services and initiatives for state and local government to modernize and improve cross-sector product collaboration. Prior to PPG, Denise was the Chief Innovation Officer for the City of South Bend, Indiana for seven years, leading IT, data, digital services, smart city, and customer experience verticals. Under her tenure, South Bend was a Bloomberg Mayor’s Challenge Finalist City, achieved What Works Cities Gold status, won an Indiana Mira Award, and was recognized as the #1 Digital City in its population bracket by the Center for Digital Government. Before South Bend, Denise held civic technology roles at the City Tech Collaborative, the Smart Chicago Collaborative, and the Federal Communications Commission. Her writings include Inclusion of Underserved Residents in City Technology Planning (2018), The Next Generation Connectivity Handbook (2016), The Chicago School of Data (2018), and Toward Inclusive Urban Technology (2020).

Denise received her B.A. from the University of Virginia and her M.P.P from the Harvard Kennedy School of Government.
