
Janelle H. McGregor, MPA, is the Director of Community Engagement & Partnerships for the City of Tampa, where she leads citywide engagement strategies, provides leadership for the Tampa Office of Human Rights, and manages approximately $2 million in nonprofit funding. She also serves on the Mayor’s Executive Leadership Team, supporting strategic decision-making across the organization. A seasoned expert in public-sector communications and community engagement, Janelle has spearheaded communications for multiple national championship events and played a central role in crisis communications during the COVID-19 pandemic, including periods of civil unrest. She currently oversees engagement for more than $260 million in capital improvement projects impacting neighborhoods citywide. A St. Croix, USVI native, Janelle holds degrees from University of South Florida and Troy University, and is a participant in the Bloomberg Harvard City Leadership Initiative. She is an active civic leader with a strong commitment to volunteer service and collaborative governance, consistently working alongside residents, nonprofits, and the business community to translate community priorities into action.
