Robin Barham is the Solid Waste Services Director for the City of Concord, and has served in this capacity since 2019. During that time, the City brought all collection services in-house, hiring 21 new staff members, adding ASLs to the fleet, and implementing Rubicon as their choice in technology. Before moving to Solid Waste, Robin served as the City’s Budget Manager for over 12 years. Under Budget, Robin championed efficiency, performance and data analysis in financial decision making. Robin has also worked for Guilford County and the City of Greensboro. She is originally from Bassett, Virginia but has called North Carolina her home since 2006. She attended Virginia Tech and earned both an undergraduate degree in Political Science and a master’s degree in Public Administration and Policy. Robin currently lives in Kannapolis NC, is married to a career firefighter and has 2 teenage children.
