Larry Schneider has been the Streets Superintendent for the City of Fort Collins for 38 years. He decided to become a Public Works Professional over 30 years ago so that he could inspire, coach employees and make a difference to the Fort Collins community. Larry is a past president of the APWA Colorado Chapter, was the 1995 recipient of the William J. Korbitz Colorado Public Works Leader of the Year award, and most recently was recognized as a Top Ten Public Works Leader, a national award presented by APWA-National Larry is also the founder and chairman of the APWA Western Snow and Ice Conference and National Snow Roadeo, now in its 38th year, which draws 1200 participants who want to learn more about all aspects of snow and ice control.
