Misato Hattori is the Senior Business Development Manager at NEC, a Japanese global information and communications technology corporation. She is particularly involved in smart city business development, and research and opportunity analysis of the smart city market in the United States.
She has been in charge of the technology industry for over twenty years since she got a master’s degree in computer science from Tokyo Institute of Technology. Her career has spanned technology research and development, mobile product planning, and policy advocacy, and she has worked with the Japanese government on developing the Smart City Reference Architecture in Japan. Currently based in New York, she participates with the Center of Smart Streetscapes led by Columbia University as the industry advisory board member.
