Mike McRoberts



Mike McRoberts is a Kansas City Angel Investor and Start-Up Mentor who focuses on Ag Tech, Business SaaS and Blockchain Business Solutions. Mike has leveraged his 25 years of Telecom Product Management and Development experience to help Start-Ups achieve Product/Market Fit and start scaling their business. Mike was previously the Director of Product Management and Development at Sprint/Nextel responsible for developing/managing Sprint’s Business Services Portfolio including Mobility as a Service, Cloud SaaS Service Solutions for Business, Workplace as a Service, and the entire Sprint ICT Product Portfolio including IP WAN/MPLS and Dedicated IP Services, Packet Access including Ethernet and Cable Broadband access, and Sprint’s Unified Communication Product Portfolio including SIP Trunking, IP Toll Free, UC Managed Services and Enabling Equipment. Mike was responsible for the product strategy, product development and product lifecycle management for this Product Portfolio both in the U.S. and Internationally (156 countries served). Mike has served in numerous other Director positions including Airave and WiFi Calling Product Management where he led the original development of Sprint’s Small Cell and WiFi Calling Solutions, WiFi Strategy Development for Sprint Network and Product, Access Product Management and Local Service Product Management where he managed Sprint’s ILEC portfolio including DSL, Metro Ethernet and Local Voice Services. Mike originally joined Sprint in 1981 and served in roles in Sales, Marketing and Business Development, in addition to extensive product management experience in Sprint ILEC, CLEC, Cable VoIP, Long Distance and Managed Service operations. Mike is a graduate of the University of Dayton with BS in Business Administration and Economics. Mike also completed numerous Telecom Professional Development Programs including the Middle Management Program for Telecom Management at USC. Mike has also developed IP for Trusted Communications Infrastructure and Enhancing Wireless Coverage on-site which resulted in Mike receiving two Patent Awards.
