Colorado Smart Cities Alliance

Abigale (Abby) Abel is an Affiliate with Cityfi and has worked most recently on standing-
up the Colorado Smart Cities Alliance, a statewide platform designed to accelerate the
adoption of innovative technology and practices to enhance the quality of life for all
Coloradans.
Prior to joining Cityfi, Abby led commercial partnerships for GE Ecomagination, a cross-
GE platform to identify, test and deploy new technology and commercial solutions to
environmental challenges. As part of this work, Abby catalyzed a strategic partnership
with a private real estate developer leading the build-out of a smart community in
Massachusetts. Abby also served as the Chief Marketing Officer for GE’s Renewable
Energy business, leading market analysis and strategic planning for GE’s global
renewables business.
Abby’s strengths are applying clear thinking, creative problem solving and a
collaborative leadership style to uncover and deliver on unique market opportunities.
She’s passionate about linking innovation to industry in support of cleaner, more
equitable and resilient communities.
Abby holds a Master of Business and Master of Public Policy from the University of
Michigan.  She lives in Denver, CO with her husband and two children.
