Girish Ramachandran is the Assistant Director with the City of Dallas - Information & Technology Services department leading the City’s efforts in Technology Optimization & Transformation. He oversees IT strategy, IT Governance, Enterprise Project Management, Business Relationship, Business Analysis, IT planning, Emerging Technologies, Enterprise Architecture, Web services and Information Management services. Girish in his role helps define the City’s technology strategy, align technology deliverables to the IT principles and City goals. He also guides the adoption of emerging technologies, define approach to Information Management to harness business intelligence and establishing a sustainable technology architecture that improves & promotes enterprise services. 

Girish leads the charge in delivering COVID-19 related technology solutions for residents/employees of the City of Dallas to seamlessly interact with City services during this global pandemic.

A Member of the Smart Cities Connect Advisory Committee (SCC), a contributor to the Dallas Innovation Alliance (DIA), member of the North Texas Innovation Alliance (NTxIA)and a governing body member of the Dallas Chief Data Officer (CDO) community. Girish is committed to making Dallas a Smarter City that fosters a Smart eco-system, with improved data sharing and Business Intelligence capabilities that in turn will drive effective and efficient decision making. 

Prior to joining the City, he worked at global organizations in the space of Telecom, Retail, Finance and Hospitality leading strategic initiatives, championing business cases, optimizing business operations, building effective teams and driving change effectively. He has a Bachelor’s in Electronics & Communication Engineering and PG in Marketing Management.
