Sherri McIntyre is Director of Public Works and Assistant City Manager working primarily on infrastructure related issues for the City of Kansas City, Missouri. She has a strong background in transportation and municipal infrastructure. She has been in her Assistant City Manager role for the City for seven years and assumed the additional title of Director of Public for over five years, after spending time working for private engineering firms. She has eight years of previous service with the City, working in Public Works Engineering, and over 10 years with Missouri Department of Transportation.
Sherri’s current duties include managing the Public Works Department overseeing design and maintenance of city streets and bridges. She served as the director overseeing design, construction and implementation of the Downtown Streetcar project that opened on May 6, 2016. As Assistant City Manager she also works with the other internal City infrastructure departments of Water Services, and Parks and Recreation. She serves as a liaison between the City with external customers ranging from Missouri Department of Transportation, MARC, design professionals, and construction community. Sherri is an active member of the American Public Works Association, American Public Transportation Association, Community Streetcar Coalition, and other professional organizations.
