Jameson Auten is the Vice President of Regional Service Delivery and Innovations at the Kansas City Area Transportation Authority. In this role he oversees contracted operations and regional mobility management efforts. He is responsible for identifying, facilitating, and implementing long-range strategic goals; budget oversight; and developing / maintaining community involvement with paratransit, and guiding the process that identifies, assesses, and selects innovative service offerings for the agency.
Jameson has worked in public transportation since 2001 where he began his career in Richmond, VA working in the transportation demand management space with the Greater Richmond Transit Company (GRTC). While at GRTC he transitioned into paratransit operations. In 2012 he joined the Kansas City Area Transportation Authority (KCATA) and now leads the Regional Service and Innovation Division. Notable projects include: Bridj Pilot Program, RideKC Freedom On-Demand Pilot Program; and implementation of regional paratransit services model in KC. Jameson is a graduate of the 2014 Leadership APTA class.
