Vice President of SAS’ Solutions Development, Alex Boakye, oversees the development, delivery, and support of new analytic solutions for SAS customers and internal stakeholders. Prior to this role, he served as head of SAS’ Cyber business, delivering cyber analytics capabilities to help customers secure their organizations and address their most complex cybersecurity challenges.

Previously, Boakye led multiple software engineering and product development teams across industries, including government and healthcare. He has spent over 20 years building innovative technical solutions to solve practical problems with experience in software development, consulting, and technology leadership. Boakye has held roles at Booz Allen Hamilton, where he supported intelligence agencies, CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield, National Institutes of Health, ADG Creative, and other organizations.

 

Throughout his career, he has been recognized as an extraordinary leader with an innovative mindset and breadth of technical knowledge and is passionate about using technology to create a positive impact on society. 

Boakye is committed to serving his community and is the executive sponsor for SAS’ Black Initiatives Group (BIG), an employee inclusion group that aims to empower Black employees to bring their full selves to work, highlight their talents and contributions and inspire young Black talent to pursue careers in STEM. Additionally, he is involved in several non-profits and serves on the board for Code the Dream. Boakye holds a B.A. in Public Health Studies from Johns Hopkins University.
