Linda Poissant

CDOT Utility Right-of-Way Supervisor

City of Charlotte, NC

As the City of Charlotte’s right of way expert, Linda is responsible for maintaining relationships with utility companies, preserving partnerships with private developers, issuing permits for right of way occupancy, and most importantly ensuring citizens receive high quality service from utility companies while protecting the public right of way and the City’s infrastructure.

With over 29 years of utility coordination experience, Linda specializes in public-private, joint-venture utility partnerships, and finding unique solutions to preserving the City of Charlotte’s right of way space.  When multiple entities were seeking to build 5G infrastructure in Charlotte, Linda’s leadership resulted in the design of a dual-use replacement pole, a multicarrier solution, collocating on existing street light poles.  Deemed the first in the nation, this collaboration demonstrates the City’s commitment to providing residents with cutting edge technologies.

In her free time Linda enjoys traveling to visit family, and spending time with her husband Mike.  Her children Logan and Leah study at the University of North Carolina Charlotte and Western Carolina University.
