Jonathon Bazan is an Assistant County Administrator at Dallas County, overseeing key departments and operations. With a strong commitment to excellence, Jonathon provides leadership and support in strategic planning, team management, and process improvement. Prior to his current role, Jonathon distinguished himself at the City of Irving, where he led various departments and worked in the city manager’s office. Additionally, his extensive experience also includes working on a wide range of operations and projects at other local governments and the Texas Legislature.

Jonathon is trained in process improvement and quality management, including Lean Six Sigma Black Belt and ISO 9001. He has also dedicated his time to volunteer service, notably on the Board of Examiners for the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award, the State of Texas Unclaimed Mineral Proceeds Commission, and YMCA of Metropolitan Dallas.

A lifelong learner, Jonathon is a graduate of recognized programs including the Harvard Kennedy School’s Senior Executive Fellows program, UT Austin’s Public Executive Institute, the University of Virginia’s Senior Executive Institute, Cornell’s Executive Leadership Program, and Leadership North Texas. He holds a bachelor’s degree from UT San Antonio, a law degree from Texas Southern University, and a Masters of Public Affairs from UT Dallas.
